SACRAMENTO, CA (MPG) - The Old Sacramento Waterfront is a welcoming, luck-filled and crowd-favorite St. Patrick’s destination with spirited fun for the whole family. In addition to the highly anticipated 28th Annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade (March 14), Downtown Sacramento Partnership is excited to present a series of spirited activations highlighted by an interactive Leprechaun Hunt (March 1 to 17) and a Taste of Ireland promotion (March 1 to 22), complete with Irish-inspired bites, beverages and retail specials.
Leprechaun Hunt – March 1 to 17
Visitors of all ages are encouraged to go in search of leprechauns hidden throughout the Old Sacramento historic district and at participating businesses to try their luck piecing together riddles within an activity book.
Each leprechaun will have a corresponding secret word that must be filled in on the activity pages to move on to find the next hidden leprechaun. Participants will need to fill in each clue to solve the secret code at the end then submit answers to enter drawings for gift cards to support local businesses. Once complete, participants email the secret message to [email protected] by March 18 to be entered for a chance to win.
Interested participants can pick up an activity book at the Visitor’s Center, located at 1000 2nd St., or it can be downloaded at oldsacramento.com/st-patricks-day-in-old-sacramento-waterfront. And, to add to the fun and share the experience with others, hunt participants and visitors are encouraged to capture images, post them on social media and tag @OldSac.
