SACRAMENTO, CA (MPG) - The annual Lowrider Unity Picnic rang in the new year in Land Park on January 1, 2024. Impalas, Chevys, Pontiacs and more filled the Land Park Panhandle. The scent of barbecue tri-tip and hot dogs floated through the air while Lowriders from all over California, Nevada and Washington came to show off their classic cars. Land Park neighbors stopped by to view the beautiful autos and wish each other a Happy New Year.

The event began at 8 a.m. and ended by 4:30 p.m. Drivers then moved to downtown to cruise the State Capitol. Car club leaders of Majestics, Fear None, Good Intentions and Family First helped organize the panhandle event. Several club members remained to pick up trash and clean up afterwards. This event is considered a tradition to the lowrider community.
